Obituary of Nickolas Day
Nickolas V. Day, 54 of Egg Harbor City, NJ formerly of Bronx, NY passed away at home on Saturday, July 8th after he lost his battle with Cancer.
Nickolas was a very happy and outgoing person. He had a zest for life like no one you ever met. Other than his family, Nick's passion was health and fitness, he loved to run and was considered an Ultra Marathoner. He won numerous medals and awards, competing and running races. Nickolas was honored to carry the Olympic Torch when it passed through his home country many years ago.
Nickolas was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago. He came to the United States in 2006 and became a Citizen in 2010. Nick worked at Royal Bank in Trinidad and Tobago for 20 years before he retired from there and came to the United States. He also worked for Caribbean Cruise Lines, Palladia Inc. in NY and Volunteers of America in NY.
Nickolas was pre-deceased by his mother Peola Rudd. He is survived by his wife Denise and son Nickolas II, with whom he resided and his sons Christopher and Jean-Pierre both of Trinidad and Tobago. He is also survived by his father, Hollis Day of Trinidad and Tobago, many brothers and sister, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, along with many loving extended family members and friends.
A Memorial will be held on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 - 3:00 at the Saraceno Funeral Home located at 171 Court Street Brooklyn, NY 11201. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with expenses.
